Carefree grazing with smart fencing
As a livestock farmer, you have enough on your mind. Of course you want to avoid worrying about escaped animals. Fortunately, Gallagher has the solution with smart technology. With a fence that you can easily operate and monitor via an app, you save time and effort and you always have an eye on the safety of your animals.
The app as the heart of your fencing system
Nowadays, it is impossible to imagine life without smart devices. From thermostats to security cameras, many devices can be operated with an app. This technology is also becoming increasingly common on the farm. The new Gallagher i Series energisers are equipped with an app that offers smart functions and notifications. This app forms the heart of your fencing system and connects all smart i Series components: from the energiser to the fence monitors that you can place anywhere in your pasture.
The app gives you real-time insight into the status of your fence. Any malfunctions are reported immediately, allowing you to act quickly. Thanks to the adaptive control module, the i Series energiser automatically determines how much power your fence needs for optimal performance. The device itself compensates for minor malfunctions or increased vegetation by delivering more power.

Quickly find out where the problem lies
You can easily divide a smart i Series fence into different zones by placing fence monitors. Unlike other systems that only measure the total voltage, this technology provides insight per pasture or area. This allows you to see where the problem is and act more quickly. If there is a problem in an area without animals? Then it is not such a hurry. If the problem is in an area where animals do graze? Then you know that solving the problem is an immediate priority.
A good fence remains important
Even with a smart fence, a good basic infrastructure is important. Gallagher recommends using a metal wire as a reliable conductor to get the current from the energiser to the furthest point in the fence. If the voltage is insufficient, the problem is often not with the energiser, but with the conduction. From this basis, you can easily clamp flexible polywires to adjust the plot size to your herd and grazing plan. These polywires are also easy to roll up if you want to fertilise or mow the land.
