Electric fence energisers are the power source behind every electric fence, providing the pulse voltage and energy required for effective operation. At Gallagher, the focus is on maintaining a stable voltage in conductors such as high-tensile wire, tape, rope and polywire, with minimal energy loss throughout the system. The choice of energiser depends primarily on the application and type of livestock, supplemented by factors such as fence length, the number of conductors, and resistance caused by vegetation or current leakage. The quality of the earthing system, together with the chosen power source, whether mains power, battery, rechargeable battery or solar energy, largely determines fence performance.
Which fence energiser do I need?
Choose your animal, the power source, the size of your paddock and how much vegetation grows along the fence. We will calculate the recommended output energy.

Choosing the right energizer
