Line Post Posts: The new standard for permanent fences
Wooden posts are traditionally widely used for permanent fences, but they have their drawbacks. Installing wooden posts requires a lot of time and labour, and their long-term quality often leaves much to be desired. In addition, they are not flexible, which can result in damage to the fence when you hit a post with the mower, for example.

The advantages of the Line Post
Gallagher's Line Post solution offers many advantages over wooden posts in permanent fences. Below, we highlight 3 advantages:
- Strong clips/insulators: The fully insulated Line Post post prevents power loss. The strong clips, suitable for wire and rope, can easily be attached at different heights. They can handle a force of up to 160 kg, making them twice as strong as standard screw-on rod insulators. Also available are clips for scare tape.
- Quick and easy to install:
The Line Post post and clips are quick and easy to install without tools, which is much faster than screw-on rod insulators. You only need a rammer to hammer the post into the ground. A Line Post post can be placed 5x faster compared to a wooden post. By adding droppers, posts can be placed further apart without the wire sagging, saving costs.
- Light weight, yet super strong:
The Line Post post is lightweight and has a small diameter, but is very strong thanks to its 16mm fibreglass core. This makes the post flexible, bendable and durable. Encased in a UV-protective polyethylene layer, the post is maintenance-free and has a lifespan of more than 25 years. Its light weight also makes it easy to carry.
Line Post Droppers; save money and labour
By using Line Post Droppers, you need fewer fixed posts and save money. The Line Post Dropper is a floating post that keeps wires taut between two posts in the fence at the correct height.
Line Post is the permanent solution for every animal
With different lengths, flexible wire heights and different clips, it is suitable for different animal species such as, (beef) cows, sheep and horses. The ability to choose different wire heights with sturdy clips makes it easy to adjust the fence to the right height for sheep and cows.
The Line Post post comes in different lengths; 1.40m - 1.90m - 2.05m. The 1.40m Line Post is perfect for sheep and cattle.
