Quickly find out where the problem lies
You can easily divide a smart i Series fence into different zones by placing fence monitors. Unlike other systems that only measure the total voltage, this technology provides insight per pasture or area. This allows you to see where the problem is and act more quickly. If there is a problem in an area without animals? Then it is not such a hurry. If the problem is in an area where animals do graze? Then you know that solving the problem is an immediate priority.
A good fence remains important
Even with a smart fence, a good basic infrastructure is important. Gallagher recommends using a metal wire as a reliable conductor to get the current from the energiser to the furthest point in the fence. If the voltage is insufficient, the problem is often not with the energiser, but with the conduction. From this basis, you can easily clamp flexible polywires to adjust the plot size to your herd and grazing plan. These polywires are also easy to roll up if you want to fertilise or mow the land.
