Fence spider (Tumblewheel) (pack of 5)
- Makes mobile strip grazing faster and easier
- Rolls like a spider over the pasture
- Easy to move
- Floating legs are electrified
- Best result with reels and corner posts
Description
The Gallagher Tumble Wheel makes mobile strip grazing faster and easier than ever. This six-legged ‘post’ rolls like a spider over the pasture and simultaneously serves as a carrier for the fence wire, which is positioned at a height of 0.78 metres.
Easily move without turning off power
You move the Tumble Wheels by simply picking up and moving the reel or post at the wire end of the fencing line. The Tumble Wheels then roll along automatically. The Tumble Wheel is designed so that the two pins touching the ground are not electrified, while the other four are. This allows you to pick up and move a Tumble Wheel while the power is on, but animals touching the Tumble Wheel will receive a shock. This prevents animals from extending their grazing area to a fresher and tastier part on their own.
Taut result with proper distance and double wire
For a taut result, maintain a maximum distance of 20 metres between two Tumble Wheels. Additionally, it is advisable to use both a front and back wire. You move the front wire towards the fresh grass. With the back wire, you close off the strip, allowing for optimal regrowth in the previously grazed area. If you want to graze a strip of 200 metres, with an interval of 20 metres and both a front and back wire, you will then need 18 Tumble Wheels (2x: 20m, 40m, …, 180m).
Combine with the right materials for optimal use
Combine the Tumble Wheels with a Gallagher geared reel and a braided electric wire that withstands regular winding, such as Vidoflex 9 wire from Gallagher. At the beginning and end of the line, a Gallagher corner post provides extra support and ensures smooth unrolling and repositioning.
